Its a dirty job but somebody has to do it

At this moment I should be cleaning my house and getting supper ready for the family as tonight we have the three older kids Christmas concert.   But instead I write....not because I actually am all geared up to do it right now instead it is my way of avoiding all that should be getting done.

Over the past week we have had at least 2-4 Christmas party activities with the kids every day.  This got me thinking how the eff are we gonna keep up when we add farming to the mix this spring?  I find myself already internally tortured as a mom to find that "balance" we all speak of.  Trust me I am not one of those dotting mothers or wife, my kids are expected to help and my husband has always been awesome.   But at some point kids are kids and they would rather be tobogganing and playing hero clicks than helping cook or clean ( rightfully so).

Like most people my husband and I try to carry a lot of the work load and night but we also realize that if we want the farm to start to support itself and us it will need proper attention during most people work hours.  Long story short I have no flipping clue how it will all work but the rest of the farming world seem to do it so...first step better stop procrastinating....ahhhhh
